I can't figure out the moderation queue. it says I have two messages in there, the first one being "hey there tester". But, it doesn't let me open anything from there. Am I missing something?(

when you click on 'moderation queue' in the mini-dropdown - are you being taken here?0

Forget it. the two messages that were there before are gone now. Now, mine looks the same as the link you posted.(

The moderation queue is user flagged content. There is a separate spam queue. Also, there can be rules set up where some users have to have all of their posts approved, which would result in them going into this queue.

Why would some users have to have their posts approved? Who would set that rule up?0

Doesn't the spell check come up automatically when you are typing? For me, if I misspell a word, it gets underlined and I can right click to replace it with a suggested word.
Oh weird.....it's not happening for me right now. So it might be the browser that does that. I normally use Mozilla..this is IE.

I normally use TK in IE. It automatically spell checks me on my desktop but not on my laptop.0

@Jackie_d - Along with the feedback that I left in the post called Navigation Feedback, I want to add my intense hate of the lack of privacy. Mods can now see IP addresses and personal emails. Not okay. This is very personal data. If I wanted to share my email address I would, I do not want someone I don't know to be able to use it.
As a techy, I know that posting IP addresses is a bad idea. It is super easy to get someone's location from it and with a little knowledge, could access the computer remotely and plant malware.
If that feature stays, when this all goes live, I will tell other users and stop posting. This isn't safe at all.

Hey, how do we ignore people?

@jsherm00 - I understand this is a beta version, but based on the information that we have been given regarding this version so far we are under the impression that mods will have access to our personal emails and our IP addresses.
Thank you for clarifying that will go away when this goes live.

no problem. Nothing is set in stone at this point. We will def hide that. We are eagerly reviewing your feedback, along with other members and moderators and will add or remove features to make the community more comfortable with the forums. thanks for your feedback! what do you think about this @staar987 name dropping feature?
0 -
@jsherm00 - I like the name dropping feature because it gives me a notification to check it out. If someone replies to my post on the forums (the current live ones) I have no idea. Sometimes it is hard to remember to go back and see if someone asked me a question.
Also, I LOVE the notifications.
And I have to ask, is that a monkey on your shoulder in your picture?

@staar987 @hobokenbride2012 @muppetfanI think there was some feedback about the edit-ability of posts - could you elaborate a bit more on that?0
-
It times out after 59 minutes so you cannot edit them after that.
Staar asked for a spell check as her browser doesn't do it for her (mine does on Firefox at least, not on IE)
