venue help please!!!

hello everyone!!!,

I am a full time college student and my fiance' is paying for the entire wedding on his own. (he is magnificent).
My family and I have all coordinated bringing our own food.
I am trying to find a venue that will allow this but its nearly impossible!!

~~~~~Pleasseee let me know if any of you know of any.~~~~~~

I still want it at a very nice place just not have to use their food...

    I'm not sure what your definition of "very nice" is...but we looked at the Irish American Club in Glastonbury, and the inside is actually quite nice (personally, I would rent my own chairs!).  We also looked at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center in Old Wethersfield.  Much nicer location...inside about the same as the Irish Club in terms of looking nice.   I'm quite sure both would allow you to bring your own food.
    Unfortunately, I think most places you look at will make you pay a fee for bringing in food from the outside, and it is not cheap.  It's usually almost as much as their own catering fees.
    Hopefully someone else will have some additional ideas!

    I'd think VFWs and firehouse halls would be a good place to check if you want to bring in your own food. For a lot of venues with catering, it's too much of a libility for them to allow you to bring in food.
