[QUOTE]Oh, and the reason I made this thread is because I am Catholic AND I believe that gays should be allowed to marry. So, yeah.

But that doesn't make any sense Cfas. Only secular people believe that stuff.0

Same. Not married yet, but plan to have a Catholic wedding. And, I think gay people have the right to get married. No one is suggesting the Catholic church be forced to perform these (or any other marriages). I don't see why we can't keep church and state separate here.

I'm gonna get inflammatory here for a moment, so if your pure hearts can't handle it, don't read any further. The Christian argument against gay marriage is the same to me as extremist Islamic arguments for the burqa and subjugation of women.0

A question I've always honestly wondered is: Wouldn't it work for both sides for all civil marriages performed by a judge - heterosexual and homosexual - to be Civil Unions, and leave Marriage for the churches? Call it whatever you want after the fact, but legally, the two people have had a Civil Union?0

Or how about all civil marriages could be "marriages" and religious ones could be "sacrimarriages"?
Seriously if you don't get the stigma that the different title causes, you're not fully understanding any of this....an obviously the significance of the title is not lost on you because you don't want to share it with those who have civil marriages.0
