Hi All!

  I am currently looking for DJ's, Photographers and Florists and sure everybody looks great on their websites, but I would like to hear your reviews of who you all enjoyed and made your day that much more special! Any info will help! Thank you all and happy planning!

My wedding isn't until September but I booked the following:

DJ - Magical Sound Entertainment - Tim has been wonderful to work with and he gave us a great deal for my six hour reception.  I think we're paying $675 whereas most people were like $900 for six hours.  Also, upon telling him I volunteer for an organization he offered DJ services for free for our large event!  He has GREAT reviews online.

Florist - Roses for Weddings (www.rosesforweddings.com) - Ety works out of her home so you save a boatload of money there.  She doesn't do just roses -- in fact, I don't have any roses in my wedding.  She was by far the best deal and we're also getting my chair covers through her ($3/each).  Very creative and always responds quickly.

Photographer - Rob Rife - I've gone on to refer 3 other friends to him and they've all booked him!  We're paying $995 for 9-12 hours of coverage and he'll edit and put pics on the disc and give us the rights to the pics...that's all!  It's cheaper to make prints and albums on your own so don't pay a photographer to do that.  He also has good reviews online.

I hate to be another one of those brides-to-be posting enthusiastically about the DJ Crew, but alas...they did an incredible job at my sister's wedding and I never even wanted to consider anyone else.  The floor was alive the entire night (none of those awkward half-empty moments or weird-tempo'ed songs) - there literally wasn't a minute of down time and they also provide day-of event coordination included in their price which meant that as the MOH I didn't have to run around coordinating people, they had one of the DJs doing that while the other kept the crowd going.  I just booked them for my wedding and it's around $1250 for 5 hours, I think $100/hr for each additional hour.  From what I've seen online they're a bit more expensive, but even being a price-conscious bride I didn't want to risk having a dead floor for a minute.  If you mention my name when you call (I'm Kristen Saad), we both get $50 off. <a href="http://thedjcrew.com/?page_id=758" rel="nofollow">http://thedjcrew.com/?page_id=758</a>

We went with Edric Morales (EM Event Photography - <a href="http://edricmorales.com/?load=flash" rel="nofollow">http://edricmorales.com/?load=flash</a>#) based on the fact that his work seems to include "pretty" posed shots that I love and the "honest" photojournalistic shots that my fiancé prefers.  He has really flexible packages, we decided to go for his All Day coverage with an engagement session, digital copies, and online gallery - if I recall correctly it's around $2200. We're also going with a Photobooth since we love those at weddings and are excited to see how our guests want us to remember the night :) - there are a lot of good deals out there so you can keep an eye out for good specials and rates if you're interested.

I'm still debating flowers, TBD!
