the deal

I'm a huge fan of Sex and the City and watched every episode (and over and over again). I own over 50 pairs of shoes. I am a shoe gal. Got it? Good.

So, when I thought about getting married when I was younger, I thought this: I'm going to buy a cheap dress and go all out for the shoes. I'll buy a pair of Manolos, Carrie from SATC's coveted shoes that I've never been able to afford. So, now that it's marrying time, I got the cheap dress part ($99), but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on the shoes. They are $755. I can't justify spending that regardless of the deal with myself. I'm frustrated with myself for not following through with this, but it's a lot of money! Sigh.

  • I wouldn't do it. You could end up like me and not even be able to wear your shoes on your wedding day for some reason. I only paid $70 for mine and was pissed to be out that money.

  • Have you looked at Zappos? Sometimes they have them on sale. Also, look at the clearance area on the Nordstrom, Saks, and Neiman Marcus web sites. I've seen Manolos on there before.
Or, just do it. Think about the fact that you can wear them again and amortize the cost over several years, as taken care of, those shoes will last forever.

  • Not worth it!

I love your dog by the way. Does doggy eat shoes? Fashionable beef jerky.
