zoberg - I love the pockets!!! Mine is Vera Wang - after looking at her stuff online I had zero belief I'd fine one I loved, but the dress is so lightweight, and I'm having an outdoor wedding, so it seems like a perfect fit. It also fit me perfectly - so well I could have left the store in it, which had a lot to do w/ VW having more than one tiny sample size, and really lovely store help.
Thank you for the nice words I remember how I felt in it, and had no reservations when I was wearing it. I can dance it in, and hop on our boat in it, and feel good in it.

<div>I thought it was Vera! I came SO CLOSE to getting one from her Nordstrom line. Great pick.</div>
Also, can I AW my wedding-necklace here? My mom told me she didn't like it and I should wear it to my rehearsal dinner instead. But I'm ignoring her and wearing it anyway. Because I love it.

I love the pockets! I would have wanted pockets in mine if I could have had them. When I'm trying on dresses at stores and realize they have pockets, they're almost an instant win. Also, your necklace is beautiful too. Don't listen to your mom.

Here's mine. It's not what I envisioned, but I thought it was the most flattering dress I tried on, and the beading at the waist and down the train is very pretty (can't see it much here). Everyone looks beautiful, by the way!
I post mostly on my month board but I will share. This is me in the sample (don't have a picture of me in my actual dress yet). Going in I did not want a lace dress...guess what I ended up with!
ETA: The first and second pictures make the dress look different colors. It is ivory lace with champagne satin underneath. Picture 1 and 3 are more true to life.

We totally are dress twins! How did you have yours bustled ( Kinda looks like a one point bustle on the satin and a one point on the lace from the pictures)?

defintiely not one point; they said the fabric would be way to heavy. That first back picture is actually with the train down, that's just how the dress gathered. This was what it looked like bustled.
If I remember correctly the satin was bustled under and buttoned up (with, like, 10 or 14 buttons) to make the satin straight across; almost like they were pinning it for hemming to remove the train, KWIM? and then the lace was gathered up with 3 or 5 little hooks. I might have better pics of it at home (I'm just pulling them from my married bio right now) from when we actually were getting it done / learning how to bustle it. If I find them tonight I'll page you with them :-)
Everyone's dress is so beautiful! Mine is my sig. I do have pictures of me in it, but the sample didn't zip up (too small) and unfortunately I wore BRIGHT pink underwear that you can see in all the pictures, so I don't like sharing those.
Wow, everyone's dresses are so lovely - especially linnyv27 and thebayside bride. Super couture and very chic. I'd love something like these if I were having a bigger wedding.
This is my dress. The front is also a v-neck:
We started planning about 2 months before the wedding. So, I either had to a find a ready-to-wear dress or a used one. I got this one used on ebay for £92 and the former owner's measurement were almost exactly the same as mine! Can't wait to wear it.
It's an Alfred Angelo from the "Dream in Color" collection:
I went in knowing exactly what I wanted. The first and ONLY dress I tried on.
I will admit, I've always thought it was a load of bunk when women said they tried on "their" dress and knew it was "the one". Yeah, well...I'm a believer.
And, the FI even approved it being a smidge over budget.
I -love- all these dresses! I love looking at wedding gowns!!

I completely ADORE your dress, Kje

I have lost a bit of weight, so this pic looks funny, but, this is it! I was custom made so I couldn't google it!
201 Invited
ETA: The pictures are pretty bad and the colour is really washed out (it's much more champagney), but you get the idea.

August 2013 - March Siggy: The Dress
Am I too late?! Here is the sample with the cheesy fake flowers and black bra sneaking into the pic. Still LOVE it.

black/brown one.

I don't know how to flip this... fail.
