That first back picture is actually with the train down, that's just how the dress gathered. This was what it looked like bustled. If I remember correctly the satin was bustled under and buttoned up (with, like, 10 or 14 buttons) to make the satin straight across; almost like they were pinning it for hemming to remove the train, KWIM? and then the lace was gathered up with 3 or 5 little hooks. I might have better pics of it at home (I'm just pulling them from my married bio right now) from when we actually were getting it done / learning how to bustle it. If I find them tonight I'll page you with them :-)

I KWYM about the satin. I am getting the same done with my satin layer, a ballroom bustle as they call it. The lace layer is going to be a one point but they are putting two "buttons" so it will be one point but secured in two spots right next to each other just in case. If you can find the pictures I would love to see them!0 -
